Singapore has approved the import of eggs from Brunei to diversify its food sources. There are now 17 countries that import eggs to Singapore, up from 12 three years ago. Sustainability and the Environment Minister Grace Fu is on an official three-day visit to the Borneo island. She said Brunei’s Golden Chick Livestock farm meets stringent animal and food safety standards. Imports account for around 70% of Singapore’s egg supply, and Malaysia remains its biggest source of eggs.
