I was in Spain (it’s on the Amber list) in August 2021 and returned by ferry from Bilbao to Portsmouth, leaving Friday 20th, getting in Saturday 21st. I found the whole Passenger Locator Form and test situation confusing, so this is a short video to help. If you are in Spain now and confused drop me a comment and I’ll answer as best I can. My story….
– I’m double vaccinated in the UK
– UK gov tells you to get a Covid test 3 days before you travel. I got mine on Tuesday (and travelled on Friday). It doesn’t need to be a PCR test, a normal Antigen test is fine.
– Then as you fill out your UK gov Passenger Locator Form you have to book a ‘Day 2’ test in the UK. They direct you to a site where you can pick and choose whatever best suits you. I got one for £30 which will be posted to me.
– When you buy/book the test you get a reference number back from the test provider.
– YOU NEED THIS NUMBER TO COMPLETE YOUR PASSENGER LOCATOR FORM.
– Enter that in carefully to the Passenger Locator Form.
– You’ll get a ‘completed Passenger Locator Form’ email back which has a QR code on.
That’s it. Be nice to the Customs people…they are just doing their job.
